March 3, 2007 Worked with the Friends of Capitol Forest group in finishing the re-route trail on the Greenline #6 trail (just above Falls Creek campground) and also cleared about 1.5 miles of down trees on the Mima Porter, south of Falls Creek
January 14, 2007: The trails on the Mega Fat Ass Loop should be all clear of large trees and we also managed to cut the salmon berry down as much as possible. Thanks to all who participated in helping out!
December, 2006
We are currently checking out the aftermath of December 2006 windstorm in Capitol Forest. So far the Mega Fat Ass 17 mile loop only had about 10 trees down in the lower sections of the course and will be working with DNR and Friends of Capitol Forest to clear these trees. So far, the course looks great...but we still need to get to the far ends of the 50 mile course to see other trail work that is needed throughout Capitol Forest.
In the mean time, check out the Friends of Capitol Forest website for their ongoing trail maintenance and cleanup program:

Thanks for your interest and see you on the trails soon!
If you are in need of a trail work service project for a 100 miler or just want to come out to give back to that trails, please join us! If you need a ride to the trail work, please contact me and I will try and arrange a ride for you.
