SUNDAY

ENCHANTED VALLEY 58 OR 26.2

From our camp at graves creek we'll trace the east fork of the quinault into the enchanted valley to start sunday's run.  it's name fits this valley is magical. 13.1 miles into the run at the ranger station the marathoners will turn around and head back to camp the way they came.  about 2 miles later things start looking up for those doing the 58, straight up that is. at the bottom of the steep climb to anderson pass is the world's largest hemlock.  the ridgeline between anderson and oneil passes is said to be the best in the park. from oneil pass we'll drop back down but for only a few miles when we "hop" up to first divide on the shoulder of mt. hopper (bonus miles and elevation available here). from first divide we'll follow the north fork of the skokomish river to the base of our last climb six ridge. on the far side of the ridge we'll find graves creek and follow it home.
